The outdoor climbing season has started. A few intrepid (desperate?) climbers have already been out this spring. Here are the conditions that have been reported so far:
White Mountain - some snow at the base and a few of the routes are a touch damp from melt water
Crag Ex - the House Wall and the Gully are snow free and in good condition. Bring gaiters or snowshoes for the approach.
Rock Gardens - the bottom of the canyon is buried in snow but most climbs are snow-free and dry. Bring a shovel and a tarp.
Put some long johns on, throw your avi shovel in your pack and a handwarmer in your chalk bag and enjoy some bug free climbing!
